I'm excited too, starting to get a good idea what I'm going to do. Will do some final engine-refactoring tonight, and maybe tomorrow I can start preparing some basic side-scrolling tech :D _________________ www.mattiasgustavsson.com - My blog

Puddinlover, does your engine use Sprites or are you blitting the data using copyPixels()?

Man, I feel like I'm behind the power curve here... :) Haven't had any time to even re-acquaint myself with TGB yet, so I may just be lucky to get something moving around on the screen before the end of the weekend... :) _________________ Tales of the Rampant Coyote - Old-School Game Developer talks Indie Games, RPGs, and the Games Biz

I may enter this. I was planning to enter last jam with a side-scrolling rpg so this acts kinda like reminder.
If I enter I'll use flash. Hope that side-scrolling doesn't exclude screen-by-screen side-scrolling (a la Don't look back). Screen-by-screen allows me to easily design maps.

As I understand it, the rules are completely hard and inflexible, to make sure the mondo prize gets awarded fairly... ;) _________________ Tales of the Rampant Coyote - Old-School Game Developer talks Indie Games, RPGs, and the Games Biz

Yep, I've gotta bail outta this one too. No time for it with all the bullshit that's going on here. Sorry guys. _________________ If you play a Microsoft CD backwards you can hear demonic voices. The scary part is that if you play it forwards it installs Windows. - wallace

Sorry dude.
Well, I'm still tentatively in. Of course, my conscience tells me I can't, I gotta work on Frayed Knights, but I think the exercise will do me good... :) _________________ Tales of the Rampant Coyote - Old-School Game Developer talks Indie Games, RPGs, and the Games Biz

I'm starting to work on some basic sidescrolling tech now :-) So much to do, so little time :P
I'm not sure how much of an RPG I'll be making though :S More tempted to make something a bit like Golden Axe, or maybe Barbarian 2... _________________ www.mattiasgustavsson.com - My blog

Haha, I love the fact I'm not the only one that isn't even 25% prepared for this thing :P
@Verious: I'm using some open source library I found from google to handle collision. _________________ Check out my game development on My Programming Blog!
