Description:

An rpg featuring my 2 year old Lhaso Apso, Mandy. Don't have a storyline yet. Going to be my first entry in a programming contest.

All graphics, sound and code were created by me from scratch. All of it was created after the start of the contest.

The game features my 2 year old Lhaso Apso, Mandy, on a quest to defeat the cruel overlord Fuzz (a giant, furball-spitting cat). Along the way Mandy has to weave through the traps and guards that Fuzz has set between them.

These guards include Snappy (bomb-wielding turtles) and Flames (fire-breathing baby dragons).

Unfortunately of the anti-heros only Snappy appears in this demo and Mandy is only faced with one challenge (acquiring to the Heart of Puppy Purity), because of time restraints (my own, not the contest's).

Interesting.... Well, the point of this game was a bit... confusing? You have the 4 basic rooms with little squeaky guys in them. I couldn't figure out how to get the one treasure, the heart. The graphics were decent and the controls were smooth. One thing that I really liked however, were the sounds! They have a way of being rediculously funny, and highly annoying all at once. Kinda happy and mad all at the same time. I guess since they were enemies, that's a good thing.

Overall, I give this one a 3. It would've been a 2, but I give it an extra point for the sound being so amusing. :)

This game has almost nothing of interest. It has no story (just grab the heart and you've won), simple graphics, simple and non-interesting combat engine and there's no challenge whatsoever (except maybe, finishing the game before you can't stand it any longer). Still, I gave this game a 5 because it's so funny! Just play it once, if only for a minute, and you'll have had a minute of joy! And that's only because of the sound effects. :-)

This game doesn't have anything to offer except about 30 seconds of distraction. If it were a larger game with puzzles to solve I'd give it another try.
