FrostWitch
12 colours used - Transparacy included.

She might just end up in a sequel to an old game. I'm not yet sure if I'm gonna do the game or not yet. And yeah... her hair is abnormally big.

Where's your light source? Looks like she's shining on all directions.

Very nice. I can definately see a huge improvement. The light source is vague as Ninkazu said, but it is there-- It seems to suggest an upper-right source (which is what I use as well), but yes, a better defined source would probably help. If you're looking for critique, that is.

Creative critique is always wanted Josiah.

I did the light source vague on purpouse as I first meant to make a background to the image. That scene would have been a cave with snow a lightgiving crystal's and therefore the undefined light source.

Looks good. It reminds me of the classic Final Fantasy games.

In what way does it remind you of the old FF?

Perhaps from the drawing style...it does have some resemblance to the original FF.

I dunno, I'd say it's pretty far from any early FF game as far as art style goes. They tended to be posed in a much more mid-action-ish way, have more little bits of detail throughout and shaded with more contrast. This sprite actually reminds me more of a monster out of Phantasy Star II; definately not in terms of theme or character, but just the way it's shaded and colored. Of course, as far as character/concept goes I wouldn't say this really fits either game's style... Which is probably a good thing. :)

I agree, it does have the action game type sprite look. But either way, I'm sure you'll somehow manage to fit it into your game.

Er, I actually meant that alot of the old FF sprites had more action-ish poses, as in very dynamic and mid-movement looking, if that makes any sense. Though now that you mention it, this sprite does have much more of an action/fighter feel to it. It would work fine for an RPG as well, though.

If this particular sprite will appear in the game it will probably be in a cutscene or something I think.

An animated cutscene or a still?
