Just wondering how everyone else is doing with their entry.

As for Team CCPS, we have completed our engine and tools that we are using for the contest, and are starting developing the content that will be played for the contest demo.

I say demo, because the game that we have designed is far too large to be realized in 14 days. However several hours of gameplay is going to be ready for play, as everything is going according to plan.

So, how goes it for you? :)

I am on schedule. I have a plot, I have a good start on the artwork, combat works, cutscenes work, and the first of four chapters is playable. Still to do: three more chapters, a lot of cleanup and polish, and music.

I wish I could say that my own project is going as well. Today I did some work on the enemy graphics, but I'm still way behind my resource needs for the game. At the moment I'm thinking about all the things that I'm going to have to "cut" from the game just so I can manage my new goal of two hours playable content.

Anyway, it looks like there are going to be quite a few entries worth checking out! There are lots of very promising projects here.

[edit] I just posted my day's work, all the new enemy sprites, on my devlog.

Unfortunately during the week nobody of our team really has time to work on the project (down from one hour or so), so it's pretty much the weekends that will have to do.

We still have to get combat, cut scenes and enemies working. Some tiles are in development (see below) and our introduction song is basically finished. We're rather behind schedule, but let's see how far we can get.

I am just throwing my hat into the ring. I did not want to say I was participating until I was sure my engine would work. I spent most of the month programming the tile engine. I think there is still enough time for me to crank out something playable. Of course my idea has eclipsed what I will be able to accomplish in the time period. Such is life I guess.

It sounds like an interesting project from the description on the front page. Good luck :)

As usual, my idea might be a bit more ambitious than I can handle within a month's time, giving my current allottment of free time and my other responsibilities. I might end up bowing out but we'll see.

I'm making progress, but very slowly. I haven't had enough time to devote to the development so far. I have completely overhauled the storyline and now have a game that I believe will be engaging and fun to play. Hopefully it doesn't prove to be too ambitious for the time that remains.

Nize to see all the projects are coming along nicely. My game though is only getting close to a walkaround demo, and Im having a feeling that my game only will get as far as an engine..

Hoping for a little extra contest time =)

That's not an impossibility when looking back on the past contests we have had.

Well, as I indicated we're mostly active in the weekends, I thought it would be good to update our entry with the progress made so far. We've got a bit of combat working (though enemies don't attack yet) and other parts have also progressed somewhat.

I'll take the liberty of ignoring the extension rumours. ;-)

I have most time to code at the weekends too and this weekend I ended up drinking beer and playing Fifa with some bud's.

I would not dislike extension ^_^
I would also like to state that beer is a good tasting brew.

I managed to finish all the enemy graphics last weekend, so that's something big out of the way, at least. I hope to have the rest of the graphics and the itty bitty bits of engine work out of the way by the end of this week, which gives me the last week to realise the ideas I've been scribbling down for the past month :)

I hadn't originally intended to make a plot driven game, but it seems I can't help myself.

Here are some of the better enemy graphics I've done:
