Damnit. I always end up watching the Eurovision. Every year, without fail... and this year we came last...
My favourite is definitely Ukraine's entry, though that's mostly because I was in stitches after watching it.
Ukraine: Verka Serduchka, Dancing Lasha Tumbai
Russia had one of the more interesting entries. They sorta remind me of Tatu, which is, I guess, what they were going for, heh.
Russia: Serebro, Song #1
Finland's song was pretty catchy, but the lyrics are very weak.
Finland: Hanna Pakarinen, Leave me alone
The eventual winner was Serbia, though I don't think they really deserved it. It was an interesting enough song, I suppose, but it didn't really do much for me... With the whole contest having become such a fiasco, I guess it's nice to see an entry taking it seriously, heh.
Serbia: Marija Šerifovic, Molitva _________________ http://www.distractionware.com

You know what would make me happy?
If they cancelled the Eurovision 'fer good.
The only good thing about it was last year when Lordi won.
About Russia's entry;
I think they have some kind Tatu farm over there. I don't mind. I have a weak spot for cute russian chicks.
About Finland's Entry;
One of the better songs in the contest. No discussion.
About Sweden's Entry;
The Ark. Impossibly popular here. I dont understand why. Ok, they are not total crap but what the heck... Aiming for a win was quite unrealistic.
About England's Entry;
WTF?
About Bulgaria's Entry;
WTF? Chick! But... WTF?
If Ukraine had won I would probably puked my brains out. No wonder the ukraine people almost rioted for sending Serduchka to the contest... and why are he/she/it singing in german partly?
The biggest problem with the contest is that we let all eastern europe countries into it. They haven't to great taste (better than england though) and they all vote for each other. We nordic countries do that too of course but we are greatly outnumbered.
The best part of the show was Apocalyptica before they started passing out the points. _________________

That was AWESOME! I was hoping for a dozen Lordi lookalikes this year because of that - it's really the best thing ever to happen to the Eurovision, heh.

Well, some discussion - the lyrics were really, really awful...
"Leave me alone, I wanna go home, I don't wanna see you so leave me alone" - byeahhgh. Would it have been so hard to change that last line to... I dunno "I don't wanna see you so go to Sierra Leone"? At least it wouldn't have jarred as badly as it did! :)

That was kinda neat, but didn't really do very much for me. They were quite stylish though :)

Yeah, they clearly just didn't give a toss.

WTF? Chick! But... WTF? |
I actually liked that one - it was pretty imaginative :)
On Ireland's Entry;
It's pretty embarrassing to come last, and in this case, we really didn't deserve to... I mean, we've entered some crap in the Eurovision in the past, but Dervish are actually a decent enough trad band... it was no The Voice, but it certainly didn't deserve last place...

I couldn't agree less - I was rooting for Ukraine to win! The next day I learnt that song on the Accordion!
The lyrics are pretty crazy too...

Hmm. I dunno about that - most of the good entries this time round were eastern European countries...

Now that I agree with! I was on the edge of my seat!

Well, that's true but nevertheless one of the better tunes in the contest.

That could be true. I wouldn't mind if they work more on the song next time thought.

It wasn't bad. Strange like a WTF moment of strangeness. I could hear that song again without becoming sick :).

Hell no. You did not deserve the last place. England and Ukraine would surely be after your entry the very least.

| ...eh. Ukraine entry is the biggest reason for why we should install jurys in the contest again.

Wow, i think the Australian broardcast (rebroardcasting the BBC one 12+ hours later) didn't have Apocalyptica. But it did have every drawn out minute of the voting.
I think this was the best eurovision i've seen in the 4 or 5 years i've been watching. I don't think there wqas an outstandingly crazy entry, but the average level of crazy was far better.
I was disapointed not to see Switzerland in the final as i thought they had the best (craziest) song. http://www.eurovision.tv/addons/mediaplayer/video/swi.html
Serbia sucked. If you want to sing a real song go somewhere else! _________________ https://numbatlogic.com

Wow, that Apocalyptica performance was awesome. I don't think guitars will ever look metal again after seeing such badass cello-based rock-outery.

Well, I've definitely heard them before, I've just never seen one of their performances. That one dude with the long black hair in front of the 'circle' of cellos fuckin rocks. :P
EDIT: Wait, he's not in the front. The guy at 1:24, anyway.
