          | Hi guys, just the other day I had a flashback. I saw myself sitting in my little room in front of a computer screen, writing an rpg in qbasic...
Today my room is bigger and I'm using c++ instead of basic, but that day I realized that it would be great fun to write a text-based rpg. At least for a couple of minutes...

I'm writing this because I need your help. I need inspiration Thats why I want your old console RPGs. Whatever it is, as long as it's playable, I'll take it. It can be anything from rogue-like rpgs to Infocom-style textadventures with rpg-elements.
I'm currently playing mostly rogue-like games like nethack or angband that come with almost every linux distribution, but I'd really like to see (and PLAY) games that work differently.

So if you still have an old text-based rpg lying around somewhere or you know a good one, please post a link.

 Thanks in advance!
 Have a nice day,
 lincore

          | SON OF A GUN!!!
The scope of that dwarf fortress game is amazing!

 That's incredibly cool.
