Looks like the weekend is mostly free for me, but I never had a chance to code during the week...so I guess I'll spend this morning coding and doing the graphics...hopefully I can hammer out something in time.

Okay, I guess not...I've spent way too much time getting the various details of SDL working so I'm gonna bail out here. I did learn a lot about SDL during this time though, so I'm going to take that knowledge into my larger projects. Good luck to those of you who are going to actually compete. :)

sounds like fun, I'm going to sit back and watch again. I have too much OCD & ADD for a 48 game making spree.

Since I don't feel like starting a new topic about my lame little attempt (so far):

Artwork thrown together from whatever I could find today. Spent about 3/4ths of my time just trying to put some art assets together. I'm really doubting I'll have an actual *game* by the end of the competition.

Whew. Talk about a very long two days! My entry is called "Sir Knight" and it uses Silverlight technology. It's not a game, but rather a tech demo. I tried to push for something in the last two days, but I realized it wouldn't be possible, so I focused more on refining the engine and tools and testing it with this project.

I've learned a great deal more about Silverlight and added a lot of productive features to my engine and toolsets in the last two days. Without them, I wouldn't have been able to come remotely close to my results today. I'm happy with the results and will continue to improve on the engine and tools.

So enough babel, you can try out the demo by clicking on the image below.

Requirements: Silverlight 3.0
Movement: Standard WSAD, hold Shift to run.
Interact: Space to talk with NPCs

The game is 7.25 MB, so it may take some time to download.
