Is it just me, or has the number of FUCKING IDIOTS increased 1000-fold over the last few years? And how did most of them become programmers? Rant over.

Hahaha!
Nope, its not just you.
Just look at the Gamedev.net forums :P What a waste of space.

I am very sick of the number of fucking idiotic kids who think that they can be programmers by copy/pasting other people's code.
Fucking morons don't know the first thing about programming.

Oh MAN, I got sick of the gamedev forums ages ago...there is a bigger percentage of idiots there than drunks at an Irish wedding.

Agreed.
I only drift through there occasionally when I am trying to find work.
I did get my current job thanks to my postings of my ad there.

I hate to say this, but 15 years ago, the internet was not for everyone - available for students, university and business people mostly and a few exceptions of private people.

Nowadays everyone has internet.

It's not like the idiots have multiplied. There was just the filter removed, so you see them more on the internet now.

Hey, I know what you're all thinking.

I'm not an idiot.

...

Okay, well, I AM, but I don't copy-paste other people's code. I do ask other people for help, but no copy pasta.

pasta....Mmmmm.. OK, now I'm hungry.
Nah, you're no idiot, just still an amateur. Maybe at the very beginning before I started helping you.. ;)
But to your credit, you are doing well.
I think that you need to hang around my forums and IRC channel a bit more and soak up some more knowledge from me :D
