Once, when I was digging a ditch, I had this idea for a simulation where you dug a ditch. Think Sim Earth with ditches.

Hey, you laugh, but Wil Wright made a game about going through a daily household routine - including having to go to the bathroom and shower, where characters could die in a puddle of their own urine... and he made GAJILLIONS of dollars with it. So - hey, who really gets the last laugh, huh? _________________ Tales of the Rampant Coyote - Old-School Game Developer talks Indie Games, RPGs, and the Games Biz

Oh, damn! I knew I forgot to put something in TSoG. I've always wanted to code a "die in your own urine" engine...

You could call it "Uringine". _________________ As seen on TV

And the sequel to Hanako Games' Cute Knight, the best-selling life-sim / RPG of a distinctly feminine persuasion, is now out. I was a big fan of the original (and only slightly embarrassed to admit it) - I guess I'm enough of a fan of sim-style games AND RPGs that I love the mix. (I was a big fan of Persona 3 and Persona 4, too...)
Cute Knight Kingdom
Cute Knight Kingdom is pretty much the original game expanded and improved on almost every level. It's a *bigger* game, though I understand it has fewer endings than the original. And no (implied) prostitution or incest this time around, though I hear there is the possibility of same-sex romance, if you feel so inclined and pursue that story path.
As with the first game, the hacking-and-slashing isn't the highlight of the game, and isn't too exciting taken on its own. But there are multiple dungeons (each with its own "boss") this time around. And taken as part of the whole, it seems pretty fun. You still have to worry about "Sin" build-up when killing living (and especially sentient) creatures.
Anyway - it's a different kind of RPG. (Strangely, though I've tried playing Princess Maker, it never did much for me... but I really enjoyed Cute Knight. Go figger....) _________________ Tales of the Rampant Coyote - Old-School Game Developer talks Indie Games, RPGs, and the Games Biz

Nope. You'll have to go back and play the first one for that. _________________ Tales of the Rampant Coyote - Old-School Game Developer talks Indie Games, RPGs, and the Games Biz
