Why make a game like this? After all, if I don't enjoy playing it, doesn't that mean other people won't, also?

Not necessarily. People like playing different kinds of games depending on their DNA. Many of the most hardcore gamers are egoists... they use escapism as a means of retreating from self-criticism. They enjoy pay-to-win games especially, as they can pour money into these games in relatively modest amounts to obtain high score and prestige.

In making this game, I'd like to appeal to the opposing audience. Altruists enjoy the thought of helping others. They tend to expend great energy volunteering... so what would they want to do when their muscles are too tired to keep going, but are still wide awake? Maybe they'd want to play games about helping people.

What I should probably do is use Gamestar to bait someone into taking over the project. Ideally a particularly insightful type, like that girl in Fruits Basket...
