I checked out the power figures on these things. They are absurd. 150 watts. I'm not sure its economical to run one of these things.

Definitely thinking this next generation of consoles will be the last. By the end of the decade everything will be streamed.

We just can't create the technology to harness these speeds cheaply. I've noted 1100 watt power supplies are becoming more common.

I think part of the problem is hyper threading and "quad-pumping" slow busses. That's what made the 2000 era CPUs inefficient. The mistakes of the past are being repeated. If you want to pay 20 cents an hour to run your computer, be my gues. I think I can do without that. I think Western entitlement is reaching a critical point.... We're definitely heading towards a general market crash in the PC industry, and the only people who will still be buying new desktops are the rich.
