There they be. I posted them in my latest update on my site as well, but thought I'd "show off" here, as well. :D

Anyway, one shows a new treasure chest (you can see it in the lower right), and the other is the MegaFire spell effect, in action. I was aiming for slightly better looking spells this time than I usually do.

So, all goes well, the game will be out in a few days. Wish me luck!

Thoughts?

That looks awesome. I hope the spell effect will look even cooler when animated!

Looks very good.
But change the combat background. They look like streched tiles, I'm sure they are.
Apart from that and the open ground edges... nice.

barok: yep

Modanung: yep, they're streched, and perspective shifted. I actually like 'em though. :)

Is that fire spell cutting a hole in the floor? THAT is cool!

And I actually like the battle background... at first it looked kinda funny, but after staring at it for a bit, I got a little attached to it. Commercial-quality (or is that an oxymoron?) graphics! Rock on!

My only criticism of the background is the perspective seems to change. If you take the perspective from the lines on the carpet, then look at the wall in the background, shouldnt the left and right walls slope back at the same angle? I hope that made sense, it did to me.

But I don't care either way, the scene looks mad, and who in their right mind is going to care if theres a pixel or two out of place in the middle of combat? Kudos to whoever did the graphics.

I just think it would look much better if you'd redraw the background or strech it better.
