Anyone else get one of these? On the one hand, it's nice to get spam that isn't about enlarging something or making $$$ fast, but on the other, until about halfway through the first sentence, I thought it might be someone who was interested in helping with my game, or something equally cool. Man, life sucks. Or at least, e-mail does. Or at least, penis-enlargement spam does; that one I'm sure of.

At least we know that RPGDX attracts high-quality spammers. This was one of them fancy HTML e-mails and everything, and it had a little image of RPGDX's main page, just so that I knew they had really been here, and really care about me.

Is this off-topic? It's RPGDX related, but then again, it's mostly just me bitching about stuff. Oh, well, I'm sure a moderator will take care of it one way or another.

Heh, fling-master got a spam email from fling5000@hotmail.com to his personal account fling5000@yahoo.com lol I'm not sure if I can the "fling5000" right, but I remember them being the same. Jeez... such spammers nowadays. I'm going to implement a script on the new venosoft site that turns ninkazu@sbcglobal.net into ninkazuFUCKINGSPAMMERS@sbcglobal.net or something like that, anyway...

When my host went down, I got a personalized spam for some data redundancy service once. I thought it was cute.

Here's a fun toy for spambots.

http://rs4.anti-leech.com/spam/spambot_stopper.php

Try it, it's fun.

Anyways, if you want the bots to leave you alone, select "no" for "Always show my e-mail address" in your profile. 'cause if you click on profile under one of your posts, you get your hotmail addy. Do that on all Forums you can, and you'll get less spam.

Sarah and Vanessa didn't get my email from the website I think. A simple WHOIS lookup on the domain reveals my primairy email address:

ugh, yeah... I've had this wonderful bullshit spam about indierpg.net, then about indie-rpg.net... probably got it about rpgdx.net as well... I've had the same kind of spam for many other sites as well... and never for any sites which were actually mine, of course.

Stupid spammers... I fully support the slow, painful dismemberment, of such morons.

Yeah, but b_lindeijer@hotmail.com is my Hotmail address. I don't really care about the spam sent there, and most of it gets filtered out automatically anyway.
