Okay...
This is an odd question, but...
Okay... Here goes:
I completely suck with girls, you have NO idea. So anyway, I recently met this girl, Amanda, (Actually it's more like she met me... I wasn't even trying...) who I'm really into, and it seems to be mutual... For one, she likes most of things I like, Anime, Computers, Jap Punk Rock, etc... And would she really hug me for no apparent reason if she hated me? ;)
So anyway, here's the question:
We've known eachother for awhile now, And are thinking about starting dating. Thing is, I have NO idea what to do for a first date...
Any ideas??
Somebody help me out here, I'm struggling...
And yes, I know it's sad I have to ask you guys for help, but most of my friends are on the internet and live really far away anyway...

Okay, first of all, stop saying that you completely suck with girls. Simple logic: This girl obviously likes you, therefore you do not suck with girls.

And I wouldn't get too hung up on what to do for your first date. Just because you are a couple doesn't mean that she magically transformed into a different person. Just keep doing whatever it was that you were doing, except more often.

Heh,
That's the thing.
See, we weren't doing much... We just talked in computer class, got to know eachother, exchanged our phone #s, etc...
And went to the VIEX (Vancouver island exhibition), but the class was only 1 week and the VIEX is long gone. :-P
So i kinda need a little help, if there are any 'experts' on the board who are willing to disclose...

Ok, now just wait a second, you quite obviously dont suck with girls considering you actually seem to almost have one ;)

anyways as you seem to have mutual intrests think of something you would like todo, a new movie you want to see (preferebly not one with a ton of explosions fast cars and girls with to little clothes on them) just be her friend and well heck if she started hugging you for no aparent reason and you didn't disslike it why not try using it against her ;)

serisouly just take it easy the best foundation for a relationship is being good friends so start with that.

Okay, thanks guys...
And I myself don't really like movies with fast cars, lots of explosions, and no plot... I prefer movies that actually have a story and preferably good acting, so there ya go :-P
And sure, I enjoyed it when Amanda hugged me, but I'm not sure what she woud think if I did it to her. ;)
Besides, we were at the fair on the Zipper at the time, and I was pretty damn scared, so she was playfully mocking me, and she ended up putting her arm around me for the rest of ride, she didn't just COMPLETELY randomly hug me, but it was kinda shocking... In a good way ;)

Wow, this is a tough one. Like the others said, you obviously don't suck with girls. So whatever you were doing before, keep doing it. And my only advice is keep being honost with her, like if you honostly don't know what to do for a date, tell her. I doubt if she has alot of experience either.

Oh yeah, girls like to hold hands. Just don't over do it.

I dunno, I have ZIPPO experience with girls- I think maybe she wasn't that popular at her school (I can't imagine why- She's certainly attractive enough, smart too) and maybe she saw me and thought, 'hey, he looks like he's not too popular, either-' etc, etc...
But anyway, I think Bigmanjones is right- I guess I'll just say I have no idea what to do for a date- I've been perfectly honest so far, and it seemed to work...But, in the words of a true geek,
Girls are like N64 compression. They're almost impossible to understand.

I can tell you what I've done for a few first dates. One, we went to an ice cream shoppe, then I helped her pick out a scented candle, and we lit it in her room. With another girl, we went to dinner and a dance with some of her friends (best way to keep the conversation going is to double/triple with cool people, btw) and then we took a midnight stroll in a park. With another, we and another couple took a evening trip to a canyon state park nearby my hometown. I own a truck so when the sun went down we parked, got in the back, and watched the stars come out and stuff.

Oh yeah, and I was friends with each before dating began, too. Seems like that's the way it works these days, doesn't it? I never hear much about formality anymore. Not that it's a bad thing, though. It's just that old first-date tactics like going to see a movie or going out to dinner aren't as interesting anymore. But then again, every situation is different; you two know your relationship better than anyone else.

Damnit, this kinda sucks, I've met the first girl who's interested in me just revently- And I'm 15 already! Geez... I guess it's even worse if it's my first, I've never felt it before so- Blah... Well, there's a first time for everything.
I'm sure most of you know what it's like to have your first puppy love, and be pining for her most of the time once you know she likes you back.
And Razor-X- I know you think I'm getting obsessive, but I can't help it, dude- So calm down about it, ok?!

Hmm.. I had my first serious relationship when I was 17 lasted till I was 21.. so youre way ahead of me ;)

Heh, I met a girl when I was 14. We used to make homework together for some time but when she really asked me, I rejected because I was more in love with another girl. Of course, the other girl wasn't really interested in me so that was being quite stupid.

Ok, so don't let her down because you happen to see a prettier girl walk around. :-)

Same sort of thing happened to me, only difference is that in my case the other girl was actually interested in me (and I'm with her now)

I'm still wondering how the hell I became such a ladies' man all of a sudden. :)
