Hey, this may just be a wild rumour, but I just have to know.
Is it true that Europeans refuse to eat corn, specifically corn on the cob, considering it "something you feed to animals"? Or is this just horrific New World slander I've heard?
I don't know why, but I've really been curious about this for a while. Yep, I'm and odd fellow. If I had any European friends, I'd have asked them, but I don't, so you all get lucky.
Thanks for humouring me.

That's kind of a weird rumour...I've never heard it before.
I'm assuming that only applies to a certain number of people in any case. _________________ That's not a broken link, it's a PICTURE of a broken link. It's really very conceptual.

I've never heard of that romour iether. We don't eat corn a lot, but we do sometimes, and we certainly don't have anything against it.

I like corn...but eating corn is exclusive to us fierce vikings of the north, just like wielding huge battle-axes and drinking a gallon of mead every morning. _________________ http://www.weeaboo.se

Yeah, we sometimes eat corn, no problem. It's been years since I had corn from the cob though, but I sure had it! As a naive child though, I didn't know why humans shouldn't eat the same as animals... or something.

Ah, alright, I sort of suspected it was just something people over here cooked up (so to speak). Maybe it was true a century ago; but I find it hard to believe a whole continent would willingly deprive themselves of the sweet, sweet taste of corn.
Thanks for the replies.

All I saw was the title, and I immediately thought of Corn, the Nintendo 64 emulator... so I'll not comment... _________________ Don't ask no stupid questions and I won't send you away.

The ironic thing is that you posted to say you won't comment. _________________ That's not a broken link, it's a PICTURE of a broken link. It's really very conceptual.

Actually me and Bjorn ate corn less then a week ago... partly because of this thread, wich made us tell our mum about this weird rumour.
