Now that I'm back, and things are starting to be sort of routine again, I'm opening myself up to anyone who needs music for their projects. Just give me a ring-ding-ding at xmark3@yahoo.com with project details and such.

You'd better be glad that Ben is grounded from his computer, or he'd be hopping around saying, "I MAKE TEH MUSIC 'ROUND HYAR!!"

...

Seriously now, free, legitamate music would be cool but id never have someting worthy of its use.

Im gonna say i mispelled the FF music guys name for effect, so i don't have to admit that i have no idea how to.

Give me a sample song and I'll tell you if it's worthy or not...now that I'm a step under professional.

Satan will eat you! Actually, I'm quoting myself to say that I don't mean to sound like that. I'm just saying, I wanna hear other people's music because I have only heard five songs from Frog, and that's it. I have never heard the songs of any friend but Frog and Jon. Jon took +5 years to make four songs so he's kinda worthless in a sense, but Frog's stuff is potent. Darkdread, in all honesty makes very good music, but the quality sucks. I remade some of his bad stuff using the same melodies and came to love his music. His only problem is that, even though his melodies and ideas are great, his...style? I guess, or something, you know what I mean, isn't working right. Like, I guess his songs are empty or incomplete in a sense. You know once you begin to make music what it takes to make a song. Ninkazu has made three songs in his life...*laughs*...they were funi funi, but yeah. I make a song a day if I want to. Maybe two or three a day, but I'm an extremely fast, and awesome worker. This is why I always provide the assistance to game makers. Give me a project and a week and you've got yourself an OST. In the past, I've been given two or three, but my parents are...(twenty-thousand page story on that, so no details)

But to sum it up, yeah. I want to hear all of your music, this to everyone who offers to track for others at sites I visit, because I love comparison. And especially, if mine happens to BE better, a nice contest might boost YOUR abilities, so nya.[/u]

Maybe another music compo on RPGDX would be a good idea, eh?

Okay, here's some samples of my work (I think I should upload a bunch more of my songs in the future, though I'm not sure how close to my 5MB RPGDX account limit I am, or if I'm past it already)

A bunch of my MIDI songs from the ill-fated ARC Network project are here
http://xmark.rpgdx.net/networkmuzak.html
Here's my MP3 page:
http://www.mp3.com/xmark
A few assorted songs (some are zipped XM's)
http://xmark.rpgdx.net/crap/action.xm
http://xmark.rpgdx.net/change.zip (theme song to Mandrake's "The Changeling")
http://xmark.rpgdx.net/headinj.zip (one of my older songs)
http://xmark.rpgdx.net/crap/cavey.xm

Also download my incomplete compo game Nowhere for more of my music examples.

Sorry, Xmark, but I can only say that change.mod was the only one that sounded somewhat un-amateur. I haven't checked out the mp3s yet.

Um.. angry was uh....*cough*
The Changeling theme was ok though.

you're just used to Ben's music...
And he should really work on his personality.

No, I'm used to good music. There's a difference.

Why, do you need your truth sugar coated so it can go up your ass easier?

Okay, scratch my earlier comment.
YOU need to work on your personality.

Dude, Ninkazu, sugar-coating stuff doesn't make it go up your ass easier.

those mods are better than at least half of the ones I hear, Xmark. Change is pretty good but it sounds a bit too video-gamey for my style. Head injury really isn't my style. Cavey was pretty good actually, although I think it would sound a lot better with some different samples or some small change - not quite sure. Really I think the best one is action. I like that one a lot. It sounds the most mood-evoking to me.

Overall I like your work - usually I think most mods people make sound pretty cheesy. If you're up to making a theme song to a completed game that would be cool.

This game's been in the works for years and I'm just wrapping it up. It stands at 13-14 hours total length and has 4 separate chapters. It's never been released yet but it will real soon. I already have a lot of good music for it, but if you can make a good main theme song I'd be very grateful. Something dark and moody - a bit mysterious- maybe a bit awe-inspiring and epic (but not necessarily). Check out the website and email me if you're interested. This is a VERY serious project so I think it would be a good way to spend your time :). Thanks for the offer, either way.
