The RPGDX music competition has begun!

Rules:
The goal of this competition is to make a song to match a scene written for an RPG, which you can find in this thread.

If more than one scene is submitted, you may choose any one you wish. You can also submit something, but you must use someone else's scene for the compo.

The competition starts the moment the first scene is posted, and ends exactly one week later. Then voting will begin using the same voting scheme as the main RPGDX compos.

Format is open. Use any programs and any format you want. The point of this is to evoke the intended mood and themes of the scene selected, and judging should be on the effectiveness, rather than the technical quality of the song.

Note: if you don't have a place to host your song, feel free to e-mail it to me at xmark@abstract-productions.net and I will put it on my own webspace.

After becoming determined to finish my entry today, and eventually doing so after about five hours straight (with breaks), I'm not sure exactly when contestants are allowed to enter.
Should I enter it now? And how do I enter it? (I'm assuming just posting it?)

Yep, all you have to do is post it, along with something that indicates which story you chose. Can't wait to see the first entry in this compo!

Title: Mute
Story: (chaotic harmony's) Our hero wakes up to find himself alone, in a dark, empty, metallic coridoor.

Struggling to his feet, he trys to get his bearings. "Where is everyone? Where am I?" he wisphers...

He looks for an exit, but the coridoor is endless in both directions. Confused, he collapses to his knees against the wall. Fear like he's not felt since he was a child takes him over, and he starts to cry, bitterly.

Might be my first post...I can't remember the last time I visited this site.

Ummm I'll probably record something for this. I'm currently in a funk music phase, which doesn't really suit the scenes.

I'll do something on my classical.

Or maybe I'll MIDI it.

I have little or no skill with a tracker, so no modules from me.

Heh, past the deadline and still only one entry. Then again, it was never clearly stated exactly when the deadline was, so in the great tradition of RPGDX compo's we get an extension! Another week, ending at exactly 5:00 PM pacific time on Friday November 19. Yeah, that's nice and definite now :)

I had an idea, but was unable to find the right samples to express it. Then I got bored, and found something else to do.

Sorry. I intended to get something done at some indefinite point during the week, but my week ended up being quite busy. I've made a start though, so I probably will finish. Hopefully. :) So don't worry Josiah, you'll at least be able to boast about beating one dreadful entry if nothing else :) (j/k)

By the way, I thought that song was excellent!

You could just say that your entry was so impressive that nobody wanted to compete with it. In my case that wouldn't be entirely inaccurate, although it's not the whole story.
