Yeah. It would be nice if we could make the music a community project- like one person does the midi, one person does the mod. It would be neat. But if you want to do it 'scool.

You mentioned *a* song, so that's what I meant...
EDIT: Ah, you said and. I thought you meant an .it, a .mid, OR and ogg.
My bad.
I can do the .It though.

coolness.

I meant 1 mod file (either in .it/ .xm/ etc format), 1 MIDI file and 1 Ogg Vorbis file.

There's your mod... 1.5 megs, I know, but feel free to downsample some of the samples in there... A few are kinda large.

? wouldn't know how to downsample it. But thanks though, it'll be included with the examples. Any takes for Midi and Ogg examples?

Well, if you have modplug tracker, go into the sample editor. There's a downsample and upsample button. ;)

sweet.

Nope don't have modplug tracker, cause I'm not a musician. Besides, doesn't modplug make terrible .it files?

Dunno where you heard that, but I have no idea why a different tracker would make .it files 'terrible'. That .it I made for this purpose was done in modplug.
The only thing that makes an .it terrible is the tracker lacking skill. =p

No, the only problem with modplug tracker is sometimes you can unknowingly use an effect or feature of it that isn't supported by the format's standard, ending up with a file that will ONLY play right in modplug. If you can avoid doing that, though, all's cool.

Nope.

http://dumb.sourceforge.net/index.php?page=docs&doc=modplug

Impulse Tracker also compresses the .it files while modplug does not.

Not saying I'm not going to use it- it just might sound different in game than in mod plug :)

You sure? An .it file saved through modplug seems to be the same size if it's saved through impulse tracker.
Maybe it was just the old versions that didn't compress...?
But meh, what do I know. =p
