No, what's really pathetic are lamer newbies who need to completely rip off other people's hard work just to feel all big inside. Do what the rest of us did, spend 5 years learning how to sprite artwork, or hire an artist. You will enjoy it and feel much better about yourself.

Yes, I'm a lamer newbie, which is why my engine can easily blow away anything a vet like you can put out. Sorry but your argument doesn't hold up. Secondly, we aren't even going to do nearly the entire game, we're going to make a build that has most of the features and a good amount of the gameplay and release that to attract artists and other team member. It's not that easy to find artists and I don't have much money to pay them so as it is your argument is fairly silly. We aren't ripping anybody off. As it is, we already have a semi-formed team creating content for our original project. Hey, at least I'm not the one who's going to charge people an overpriced fee to play a bound to be sub par RPG. G' luck bro.

Neither does yours. Have you played anything I've done? The people who played the crap I coded 3 years ago were impressed enough with it that I had several people offering to help me. Most of them artists.

Play the demo. If you think it's subpar, don't pay for it. That's the point of shareware, duh.
There are far worse games (RPG's in particular) in shareware that people ask for money for. Of course you would understand my situation once you graduate from high school, have your balls drop, and take on responseibilities other than your own.

The most amusing part of all is that if me and Mandrakes positions were reversed, I would still be the butt of your snide comments. The fact of the matter is in any 'community' when one newbie tries to talk a little logical sense into a veteran (especially someone like Mandrake who has the universal support of the community because he's a "legend" *rolleyes*) he will undoubtably be shot down by the biased masses who will stand up for someone they consider a friend. The truth is I came to this forum not to start a fight but Mandrake chose to start one with me starting with the thread in Off Topic. Maybe if you'd take a few minutes to use your brain you'd understand that I have done no wrong and that it is only your unthinking biased mind that twists me into this perspective.

This is a site for RPG developers, and as such we all have suitably legendary egos.
