BREAKING NEWS!: Angsty kid hates his pearents.

Edit: So i was thinking for my game that the art needs would be too high. And to make a game with less art would not be able to keep with the theme or would take a real complex map editor to make. So i think i'm out of the comp.

pft. I'm probably not even going to make proper walk animations for my sprites, as that'd take too much effort ;)

Bit off topic but since we have so many people wanting and having the time to do this contest, I mean why not have these same set of people collaborate and make a 1 single community project??

Personally, that idea doesn't appeal to me. I'd rather just explore my own ideas and see where they go.

To me, collaborating with people on a forum just means handing over creative control to randomers. I prefer to work alone, or at the very least, I prefer to be in control of the content.

Plus, it's not that I really have time for this. I've made time because I think I've got a game idea that's worth exploring. I took half of my annual holiday leave from work to partake in this contest. Chance are I wouldn't have done that for a group effort.

So that's me out. No reason why the rest of you can't team up though :)

I rarely work well in a team unless I'm the lead, so I wouldn't be up for that.

I'm working with a team since way back but I'm the only one doing anything physically besides our newest teammember Freemax (who makes music - and he's helluva' good at it too, I might add) and Mr_T (who makes his own stuff in C++). The other teammember's are there for ideas, testing and getting drunk together. It's something that works really well for us.

Maybe now that we've decided on the rules, we should unsticky this and start a screenshot thread or something?

Hey... uhh... I'm going to have to withdraw from the contest. There is absolutely no freakin' way I could get an entire RPG built in a month. Bjorn? Can you remove my project from the contest?

I think you can just go to the project page and hit unsubscribe.

If you don't have the time to make whatever it is you've been imagining, why not just scale back your idea a little and see what you can get done? Incidentally, the winner of the last contest here was an incomplete entry.
