Apparently this game doesn't like my monitor... the dot clock is running over itself... and it looks BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAD....
I've got an nVidia 64mb card... I don't remember what its exact name is... but I've got the right drivers.
It probably has to do with the ancient monitor I bought used for $30. Windows Server 2003 didn't like it, either.

I have found that there are some monitors with uncommon refresh rates that can cause a lot of trouble with graphics rendering.
Solution?
Buy a new monitor, or borrow a friends. :D _________________ Principal Software Architect

Or try windowed mode.
EDIT: Hmmm... No Alt+Enter support... _________________ https://numbatlogic.com

Just a note that Feyna's Quest v2.0 is now finished and available for sale. I've also reduced the price to $15, since it is a fairly small game and I'd rather sell a lot of units than maximize total profit at this point.

It has a windowed mode, but you can only access it through the in-game menu (config->display->target) at this point, so if you can't see the menu on your screen, you're pretty much screwed. I'll probably implement alt-enter in the next version.

I have tested Feyna v2.0 and I must say that I like this version way better then your original. Who has designed Feyna? _________________

Almost all of the sprite artwork in Feyna's Quest v2.0, including the sprite for Feyna, was done by Anthony Chau.

I like the opening. Very spacious and cavernous.
But I can't get the game itself to run. It closes up as soon as I enter my game's save name.

That's strange. Can you send me the log file? It should be in "Eldwood\Feyna's Quest\log.txt" under your application data directory - "c:\Documents and Settings\<user name>\Application Data\Eldwood\Feyna's Quest\log.txt" on Windows 2000 or later, and probably "c:\Windows\Application Data\Eldwood\Feyna's Quest\log.txt" or something very similar on the 9x series of Windows. Also, which version of Windows are you using?

Sorry. There is no log.
There are a couple dlls, two resource files (with extensions "res" and "resp", I think), the executable, and the installer. And a config file I think, too. That's it.

If you found the executable and the dlls, you're probably looking in the wrong place. The executable is installed in Program Files, the log file goes into Application Data (along with the configuartion file and saved games). This allows the game to work on limited user accounts, which may not have write permission in Program Files.
Thinking about the problem some more, it sounds like you may have installed version 2.1.0, which contained a fatal bug which was fixed in version 2.1.1 a couple of days later. So you might be able to get the game to run simply by downloading and installing again.
