Well damn, I completely missed this whole contest thread. Gotta go now, but when I get back I'll give 'em all a listen. _________________ Mark Hall

Ha, thought you might have. It's ok though, I for one had a load of fun and would love to give it another go, as long as we can keep some kind of beginner-friendly rules in place. If I can make a listenable piece this time that would be a plus too, heh. _________________ Previous nicks: MidnightDreamer, The_Anarchist, Shroomasta.

Why not make it a regular contest? Instead of declaring them outright, have them implicitly run maybe once a month? Two weeks?

I hope not! Maybe we shouldn't make this a regular thing otherwise people will feel obliged to take part and that sort of ruins the fun. But we should definitely have more music challenges and attempt to involve more users.

What I personally would prefer, is that everyone on the board felt they could propose a challenge when it was offered, but had the good sense to do so in harmony with the rest.
Official challenges seem not to be more effective than individually sponsored challenges. I'd like to see more of the latter.
