I've redone the house, i'll post it here soon. I don't think i'll fix the shore, as the graphics dont have to be perfect!

Thank you.

that's an in-game screenshot, it's cropped to 256*256 cause of chara mucker's bloody restrictions... Anyway, it's pixel by pixel and has sfx, music and animated char portraits, as well as the first bit of a battle engine.

Hmm- Well the thing is, does it really bug you? If so, I guess I can try to improve it- but if not, i guess it's not too, too important.

It doesn't bug me at all. Sorry to have ever commented on it, when I first referred to it as a 'sinister wooden box', it was meant to be more a joke than real criticism.

Really I'd think the game would be a lot better if the houses and stuff had more volume instead of *BRICK TILE* *LIGHTER BRICK TILE*
But that's just me. Nice new screenie, btw.

Actually, I commented on the trees. They use pretty much identical colors to the grass. Since trees are an obstacle, they really should provide better contrast against the field. I believe the colors around the edge have been darkened but the lighter shades match the field colors exactly, which is kind of weird. I mean, the trees aren't growing grass out of their branches are they? Just using a darker or different shade of green would do it. Other than that, I think the graphics are alright. Simple, but solid.

I agree, but isnt that why they've got a black outline around them? Shrugs maybe I'm wrong- I'm a coder not an artist, the best I could manage is a badly drawn stick figurem, so kudos to whoever drew the graphics anyway.
