PhotoShop?! Nah you silly, must be Art Gem... can't you see that?
And solar... It's clearly a cone, not a hill... that gradient goes linearly from black to white so the height of the terain will also increase linearly of you'd move towards the middle.

yeah, but a cone would increase height suddently, and a hill gradient - like... in Bryce and Vue d'Espirit, I tested it, it made a nice hill. _________________ I think, therefore I am... I think.

If it's a heightmap it looks more like a global hyperbowl (with one end being the poles and the other being the aquater (or however you spell that) _________________ Life is not as bad as it seems, it's just a lot more complicated.

Heh, I meant a graphics editor in the generic sense. I think every decent graphics editor in existance has a fill tool you can use to create that exact image in one step.
I've never heard of Art Gem actually. I use a 6-year-old copy of Corel PhotoPaint 8. I'm sure there's MUCH better stuff out there, but I'm not really interested in re-learning all the idiosynchricities I already know.

ArtGem is nice but lacking in some places which makes is very annoying for some stuff but perfect for other stuff. It's development has come to a halt though and it's not for sale anymore, and there were not enough people buying the product... :-(
About the hill, here's a render with Terragen showing what it is exactly.
Looks like a sinus to me...

Ok, I've gone too far now but what the heck. I was just curious as to how a real cony gradient would look like, so it's below here together with proof that it's actually a cone. :-)
