I think he means the corners with grass in one tile and sand in the other three. It seems weird to have the grass pry the sand spot in the way it does. (unsure how to explain this in shorter, proper, English)

Otherwise, the water side and centering of characters looks much better to me.

Makes it look like a clover, I think.

Also, the dark gold color gives the sand height, whereas I'd expect the sand to be lower than the grass. Here's what I would do:


On the edge, little grass blades overlap the sand. And I reduced the clover look. Hope this helps.
