No one has devised a Bayesian filter for phpBB, yet? Seriously, if we had something like that, a little training here and there would automatically keep this place clean.
Not that I doubt the power of the all mighty Spam Hammer, but they are not around all of the time... _________________ "...LeoDraco is a pompus git..." -- Mandrake

That's right. I had posted different updates on GDR and had the same feedback from some people but after a few more updates I heard they were resolved. When I have my final version complete in two weeks we'll see if it works for you, eh? |
Yeah, it would be great to finally get to test it :P. _________________

Ye didn't? I think it would be way better if it's widther. I have noticed that the whole rpg-dev is down at the moment 'service unavailble'. What are you doing Adam?
Edit: Never mind. It's up and rollin' again. _________________

Still needs widening though. And we should email people to get them to come back once it's up again. _________________ "Sometimes it is better to light a flamethrower than to curse the darkness."

I still woudn't consider it "back up again" but i'm still working towards that goal.
This Service Unavailable deal seems to be something kooky with my host... _________________ https://numbatlogic.com

It seems we have had no more spam since I tweaked our captcha a bit, so that it is (almost) unique to our forums and no longer recognizable to generic phpBB2 captcha solvers.
To signify the change of focus in the force that was protecting us from the spam, The Spam Hammer group has now been renamed to Moderators. Their primary goal is still to deal with unwanted posts.
