I can sympathise :(. I spent the first six months of my job just working and not really doing anything in particular with my evenings - I was getting pretty unhappy about things, to say the least.

What worked for me was to just force myself to work anyway - I bought a laptop, installed a clean system with no games, and started going to the library every day after work. It took a few weeks, but I eventually started to feel like I was getting somewhere again :)

I bet you're still in college! :)

Believe me, it doesn't make a difference what you do. I've got a financial job and I hardly do any programming at all (the odd excel macro), but I still find it hard to muster the energy to work on games when I get home. Working 9 to 5 takes forever to get used to...

However, that's all changing soon...

Very soon.

Hell no. I have been working at a foundry for quite too long now. six years soon.
I have perhaps a chance to get a lighter job there now as it seems like a lot of my friends has found better jobs otherwhere.

I can't be found on any pictures on the homepage and some of them seems to be quite old.

Heh, my mistake.

So, do you mean to imply that, (seeing as you don't work at a programming job), you come home in the evenings all eager to work at your games?

No, not really. Usually I'm to tired too think. But I'm sure it would have been worse if I worked with programming.

You shouldn't - if you don't like your job, save up a bit of money and take some time to find one you like! Life's too short!

Also, a foundry? That's a really random place to work :)

Perhaps so. It depends on what will happen in the closeup future.

Em... I was going to reply with something along the lines of "no offence intended", but I think I should just stop digging...
