'You Don't Love Me Anymore' is my favorite of Al's songs.
I loved to mosh on Sepultura last saturday at the Waldrock festifal, great music... Murderdolls also was one of the better bands. Iron Maiden was less fun than I expected.

It's old metal week for me! Hooray! This is basically my excuse to go steal all of my dad's AC/DC, G'n'R, Ozzy, Sabbath, Priest, Maiden, etc. etc. tapes/CDs and listen to them again and again. Yeah, it's pretty sad, but still damn fine music.
Right now I've got Appetite For Destruction, Back in Black, Diary Of A Madman, and Black Sabbath going. Mmm, old metal. My favorite.
Anyone else dig old metal? _________________ 1-800-SUICIDE

heh... yep, sometimes I'll drag out my thrash/death metal from the 80s... gotta love the ol' cheese. I should put on my Onslaught, and Venom records again... ah... those were the days. :) _________________ "Goth is a way for ugly people to be interesting."

Recently I've been listening to Pleasure forever a lot they're a really good dark piano type band. There are traces of indy in them but thankfully only traces. Otherwise:
The Damned-Machine gun etiquette & the black album (they did it WAAYYY before Metallica) Curtain Call is a work of genius.
Ephel Duath-The painter's pallette
The blood brothers-Burn piano island Burn (absolutely fucking brilliant)
My Dying Bride-34% complete, their second best album after turn loose the swans. The fan reaction was so bad it caused them to release the terrible light at the end of the world
Dead Can Dance-Within the realm of a dying sun, recently got this, kinda gothic classical music. Highly recommended.
I also like Dead Kennedys a lot. I rarely listen to trance/techno stuff and I like post black metal. The original norwegian black metal scene is a bit of a joke now though.

I've listened to a couple of their songs on mp3.com a long time ago, and was left with the impression of competent but otherwise unremarkable synth-drenched black metal in the style of Limbonic Art. Maybe I should check them out again to see if they've progressed beyond that stage.

My favourite composers are probably (in no particular order) Danny Elfman, Prokofiev, and Basil Poledouris. Prokofiev totally rules.
As for metal I listen to Sonata Arctica, In Flames, Symphony X, Dark Moor, Rhapsody, Nightwish, Therion, Dragonforce, Dream Theater, Blind Guardian, and Racer X.
In terms of electronic music, I like Amon Tobin, Mr. Scruff and Kid Koala.
I really like Tom Waits, particularly Blood Money.
I listen to a bunch of mod music, the Beatles, Pretty Things, and Idle Race.
I think the Space Cossacks are my favourite band of all time, they do a wicked space surf/russian music cross and it's just excellent. Tsar Wars is the only album of theirs I own though.
I listen to a varied collection of 80's pop.
For country I like Kenny Rogers, and some really old school stuff. I really like the Sadies, they're country for the most part.
Old school rap, like Run DMC is entertaining.
I like classical music. New World Symphony is a favourite.
Surf, like the Ventures I like.
I guess you'd put stuff like Stereolab, Ugly Casanova and the Microphones in roughly the same category. You know, haunting sort of modern stuff.
Miscellaneous bands like the Squirrel Nut Zippers who do a really original swing style of music. Stray Cats who are like 50's rock I suppose. Ladybug Transistor is cool, not sure what genre they're considered.
Nubuo Oematsu is a good composer, but I only really like to listen to his arranged stuff.
House of Love is another favourite band.
Um...I have too much more to list so I'm going to cut myself off. Maybe I could focus on a particular category or something? Anyway... _________________ That's not a broken link, it's a PICTURE of a broken link. It's really very conceptual.

Agh...my recent orgy of anime watching has started to take its toll on my mental state...
I actuallylike the Love Hina/Love Hina Again soundtrack (vocal songs too), and some misc. songs from GITS: SAC and Eva.
It won't be long before I start humming the Chobits theme in sleep... >___< _________________ http://www.weeaboo.se
