What's your relation to your avatar? Some people seem to choose their avator becuase they want to appar this way, but in some other cases, I can't see the relation.

I always thought it's ET and an imperial walker. I don't know what you'd infer from that.

I mean 'your' in plural case, i.e. everyone who is posting here.

My avatar is just me. Yes, I'm really that a crazy person.

Yours (your=adam in this case) reminds me of - I better not say before you get a chance to explain?

Bays is looking like a walker and something unknown, but what's the relation between Bay and those?

Mandrake had a photo, now some ???. Why the change? Whats the meaning of the new avatar?

LeoDrako - hey I like cats, even his avatar. I think I like Leo, too, at least what he writes. Did I fell prey to his avatar, because I like it?

Ninkazu - no face, a mask?

I'm happy that Janus changed his avatar, the new one looks at least bit more like a complete person.

Björn is Björn, that's fine. Much better than the old photo. (Sorry, dont have the slash-o on my keyboard, AFAIK ö is pronounced the same way?)

BiggerUniverse, I really like your photo.

Happy - at least in his case I can see a relation between his avatar and his style of messages. Although I have seen that his early messages have been quite different.

Nephilim - I know the band "Nephilim", the dark look of his avator could be related. OTOH the only think I can say is that the hair animation has a flaw.

ChaoticHarmony - his choice of avators always have been a mystery to me

XMark is into musik-making, so his avatar fits.

DeveloperX - ? a ninja mask ?

I wrote this list as the names came to my mind. It may or may not reveal something about me and my ways.

Why do we change avatory so often? Do wee need a new face every few weeks? I always decide I want to keep the avatar now and forever, it'S my representation of me, but the longest time between two changes seems to be 6 months, then I want a different look ...

Personally, I never pay much attentain to avatars - they can be quite misleading.

However, you've inspired a change in me. What do you think of me now?

I'm glad you like this one better than the picture I had before, still I was pretty fond of that "drunk mad guy roaming the streets" one. But it was out of date. Don't worry about not knowing how to make the ø, as Bjorn_ will automatically turn into Bjørn due to a censorship rule. You're right about Björn sounding the same, but Bjørn is my name. :-)

You're feeling rebellious. I kindly ask you to take that avatar to about 50% of its current size.

Bjorn, your forum software already knows a limit for avatar size. Maybe it's easier to change the settings, instead of asking everone whos avatar is too big for taste, but within the bounds of the automated avatar checker?

Misleading? Yes, but since people choose them at will. They will lead where people want to lead the watcher. This maybe different from the true self, if someone wants to be seen or treated in a certain way, I'm willing to get into the game and do so.

ATM I think it's a joke only. I'll wait for a change or if there isn't a change anytime soon, I'll accept this one and think about it.

Edit: The Bjorn_ thingy doesn't seem to work *sniff* - me trying to be nice :(

Hmm, I thought you'd understand that I had added the _ to Bjorn_ only to prevent it being censored into Bjørn. :-)

About avater size, the forum can only limit the size on uploaded avatars. It may indeed be a good idea to switch to uploaded instead of linked avatars, which will also eliminate broken links to avatars.

The old photo actually was me. The new sprite graphics is something I'm working on while trying to get Freya up and running. Actually I've got two games in the works, the first a simple plot-based RPG with the combat of Phantasy Star || (but with the mood and atmosphere of old 60's and 70's sci-fi with a smattering of silent film creepy). The other (where this sprite comes from) is an experiment in world design and player interaction. The one with the sprite, though, will have to wait until Freya 3.0, since it relies on the (still in progress) networking support.

Thinking should be left to horses, they have bigger brains. Ok, got it. I've edited the message once more :)

The cat was based off of Berkeley Breathed's Bill the Cat. Heh. I drew that a long time ago. Due to the avatar constraints, I actually took a rather small portion of the full image. Which can be found here.

That's an image from happy times. Grizzly died last summer from a brain tumor :(
