I think I should correct my statement...A whole RPG seems a bit too much for me right now. I still have very few game development experience, so I'll start with smaller projects.

SAWD is failing miserably. Random world generation is escaping my grasps. I've deleted my base-code about 15 times by now because nothing is working out. I've been very distracted with other things lately, like taking care of my nephew & entertaining out-of-town visitors, and other projects that have been digging at my brain to get me to finish them.

I think its best for me not to enter this contest. I don't work well alone, and it seems that the friends I relied on for WiTCHHUNT are far too busy with their lives to even return a damn phone call.

Unless someone wants to collaborate, I think I'm going to cut my losses and go take a break from programming for about a week or so, I think I'm burnt-out. Every time I sit to work on something I'm either distracted, or drawing-blanks with no ideas.. So, if anyone wants another programmer (C/C++,C#,VB,QB,Python) to help then finish their entry, let me know.

... :P hmm thats rather disturbingly relevant.

lets see..its the 23rd...the contest ends the 28th...so..hmmm...I don't know if I can pull something out of thin air that fast...but God knows I guess I'll have to try. (my horoscopes have been quite correct for 6 months..its scary)

Just checking in to see if the contest is still going ahead and if the due date is still this friday. If so how will entries be made since the contest still isn't on the contest page? Hate to be a nag, but I have been working hard on my entry to get it done on time, since a lot of the game engine was not even started at the outset of the contest. (an ongoing project previous to the contest). But thanks to the contest i have acomplished a great deal. I am very pleased with my work, but i doubt it will compare to a lot of the entries, since it seems you guys have been at this sort of thing for a long time now. This is my first "serious" attempt an rpg or any project for that mater. Everything else i have done at this point has been on a much smaller scale, and all i have now is an early demo. I intend to add many more features to the project after the contest.

But i hope the contest is good to go.
And good luck to all the other entries.
May the best coder win. (which won't be me :P)

Or we can just do what we did last time, post links to our entries in this thread, I don't think there will be that many anyway.

I think I'm not going to make it this time (I'm moving right now, so just too much stuff to do). But I'll submit what I have anyway (just a walkaround right now, but hoping to be able to add fighting as well).

I don't think I'll be able to finish on time. My combat engine is only halfway finished, and I haven't even started on things like spells and equipment. Or plot.

I could release what I have, which is a fairly crappy walkaround engine, or I could work on my game for another month or so and release it when it's finished.

Or we could decide on another extension, although I can't promise I'll actually be able to finish the game even with extension. Anybody else want/need an extension?

Hah - yeah, how about another extension? Two weeks sounds about right :D

I've been working on and off on my game, but it's nowhere near completion. I like where it's going, so I'll probably keep working on it one way or another. Though, to be honest, I'm not sure how RPG like it actually is.

I'm up for a good ole extension :D
That would take some stress off of me, and perhaps give me a levelh ead to try to complete this thingy I'm working on.

Bjorn cant fix up the contestpage before the 4th. I dont think it'll matter to much as we seem to have agreed on the regular extension.

March 16th sounds good.

Might give me time to fix my stupid logic errors in my entry (if you can even call it an entry)

In any case, good luck to all who enter, I will be trying everyone's entries for sure. :D
