Does anyone here run Win2K and QBX ?

If so, do you have any trouble with using screen modes?

On my desktop, AMD K62-550Mhz, 384MB RAM, 15GB HDD,
Win2K Pro, nVidia MX200 32MB Video..

If I try to change video modes in qb, my computer crashes.

But, I _can_ change screen modes on my laptop using qb.

Laptop: IBM ThinkPad T20, 700Mhz, Win2k Pro, S3 8MB Video,
128MB RAM, 8GB HDD

Any ideas?

oh, and any mouse routines in qb causes the computer to reboot.

I have already ruled out any virus activity.

If you know a solution, please tell me. Thanks.

I run Qb and Win 2k Pro, and there's never been any problem. The error may be in your monitor, as some older monitors can't support certain screen modes.

But...the most likely cause is a corrupted BIOS. If you can't do screen modes AND the mouse routines cause trouble, then there must be a problem when the program makes the hardware interrupt. Try compiling the program and see if it works there.

I have a ProView 17" LCD Monitor, Maybe it is the monitor...
no, wait.. cause it doesn't mess up when I run Qb on the Win98 drive...hmm..can't be BIOS either, same reason...
and compiling makes no difference, still crashes. :\
