I'm not sure I see the point of a DOS mode map editor when 99.9999% of game developers are using a GUI-oriented OS.

it was mostly to help me learn back then. Besides, it was fun to make. I'm not entirely inclined to make programs that will benefit everyone, you know. I created it so i could make half decent maps for my game, not so everyone and their mom can laugh at how it's dos based. Perhaps it was a mistake to post this here then.
I might say it has a gui... the only text you will see is when it is informing you to change something (like x and y sizes) or when you are to load something in.
other than that all you'll see is the mouse, the map and drop down menu's. _________________ Adosorken: I always liked slutty 10th graders...

I think it's not about your editor having a GUI, but about whether the editor will integrate nicely with a GUI oriented OS... QB clearly doesn't and will never do either.

if it gets the job done, who cares what it is running on and what code it was written in.
