Wish I had a digital camera........heh, but I'll describe it.

17" LCD in front of me, 10" subwoofer on the right, (behind my IBM ThinkPad T20. On the left, a stack of about 18 books, that are sitting on top of the mid-tower of my "Tiger Pro series" AMD desktop. Above the LCD, are a bunch of CDs, and 2 PlayStation consoles, on the right of the desk is a Yamaha Midi Keyboard, and below that..misc. recording equipment.
I've got a roll-out keybaord tray, which holds my crappy stock kb, and an ioMagic optical mouse.
Above the books, would be my printer, and to the right of that, my scanner.

Phew.. does that paint a picture for you? If not, buy me a digital camera, and I can show you. ;)

And, my rack cabinet that isn't nearly as full as it should be:

It's important to note that I plan on getting some better wire organizers for the rack. Right now they're only on the back frame, and they don't really help much.

Also, attrition needs a new case. It's the third thing from the bottom: the sickly looking thing on top of the UPSs. A nice 2U case would do her some good.

Well, http://attrition.dyndns.org; for attrition. The others aren't really doing much. The top two servers are both Cobalt Raq2; they will be clustered together once I can get a newer kernel to compile on them (They're 64bit MIPS based, but the kernel doesn't like this particular model.)

The middle thing is a Netgear JFS524 Ethernet switch.

The big-ass server just below that is going to be my storage server for now. It's rather old, and newer chassis have more density for the same 4U space.

Attrition is right under that, and then there's the two UPSs, which are both APC Smart-UPS 1400 models. Unfortunately, the black variant is rather rare/expensive. So I had to get a white one, which makes me unhappy.

EDIT: Oh, yeah: this all wasn't very expensive. Maybe ~600 total, but I'm being generous.

Ah, cool. It's my goal to eventually have a rack like that, except with music stuff instead of network/server stuff :)
