and I can't seem to figure out his PHP code for the mini game compo's on the main page (the login date stuff), here is a poll to see when people will be available for the 98 hour compo (note: it's 98 not 96 hours, the extra two hours are tacked on the end to give people even just a little more time...)

Just click on the time you think would work best for you. Compo starts the GMT 1 right before the weekend, and ends GMT 3 on the last date of the compo.

Well, I voted the middle set... but honestly, I'm quite fine with any of those dates. Barring any unforseen stuff... there shouldn't be a problem for me. I'm pretty felxible. bends over backwards See? ;)

heh I'm happy with all the dates too, but... Sept 4 is my birthday so I had to vote for #1 ;)

I voted for 31 august but I think both the first and the second set of dates fits me (and the rest of my team).

Because there's plenty of time to discuss the dates here and people can now more or less make sure they will have free time on the chosen date, I don't really see the need for the date to be chosen the same way as was with the extended 48-hour contest. I'll make a signup thingy though and I'm thinking about some improvement to make it easier to find the contest entries for judges and players.

I'm really looking forward to this contest!

Why not just make it a week long contest, instead of restricting it to two weekends. I'm just saying this because my "weekend" is on monday and tuesday, and I'm sure the people here all have different weekly schedules but everyone's guaranteed to have some free time somewhere during a week to work on it.

Yeah, I think a week long one would be nice too. It would give everyone a lot more time to finish the game, that's for sure. Either or, I'm fine with a 2 weekend one as well.

As for making it easier for judges to find compo games... why not make a seperate page, that lists everyone's entry, with a link to the entry page?

Yeah a week sounds better. I'm fine with any date except the first one. Because I'm in Italy at the time, so I can't do anything.
