Woah.

I dunno about you guys, but I'm not the type of person who cooks. I mix drinks. Mixing drinks is easy. You just need to memorize what goes well with what, and in which quantities (ie, sauza gold tequilla with 7Up and cranberry juice; 1-3-3 mixture. Not a whole lot to deal with there!) But cooking? Fuck no. XD I'm about the only person who can "cook" eggs and end up applying cold water to burns across my arms 5 minutes later. Why? Because you have to deal with ingredients, quantities, temperatures, cooking time, and a whole bunch of different crap, and just about every cooking book out there gives you bullshit like "let it cook until golden" or "add a pinch of salt." Yeah. Except those aren't numbers.

It's a miracle I didn't burn down my appartment building, all things considered. :)

But this site... wow. This site has it all. For people like me who have a terrible sense of judgement, it makes cooking accessible. No longer will I be resigned to tossing sausages in a pot of boiling water and eating half-cooked weenies. No longer will I just end up tossing a bowl of ramen noodles in the microwave oven. No longer will I find myself considering popcorn for dinner! No longer will my god damned eggs make me look like a burn victim! At last, cooking has revealed its epicurian secrets to me! o_o

* RuneLancer gains a level! RuneLancer is now a level 2 cook! Hp +3. Mp +8. Int +2. Dex +1. Learned 'Feed self, lv2!' *

I figured I'd share the wealth. I'm quite sure I'm not the only person here who spent more time learning how to use a bit shift in place of a multiplication than making a sandwich. This site is like the MSDN of cooking to me.

Cool site. I like the "tabular recipe format," although I'm not sure I like that he's trying to patent it.

The metric measurements are particularly welcome. You Americans and British and your legacy measurement system...
