http://www.ccpssolutions.com/projects/dd06/tahn.html

I made this today in about 3 hours using mspaint & a mouse (tablet is broken)

This is the main character for the New Dream Destroyer project.

Forget all about the old project DD from years past, cause this is an all new project including completely new storyline, new characters, new locales, and of course, a new game engine.

If theres anyone out there that would like to draw the sprites for this game according to the concept art....speak up! :D

Another of the main characters; Tahn's older brother.
finished up in 4 hours in mspaint.

thanks. yeah, I didnt feel like messing with layers & a ton of tools in psp.

So, I simply use the brush tool and the selection tool, and the transparent mode, and of course exploiting the color palette as needed in mspaint.

even though I don't like m$ ... I've always liked mspaint (the first ibm pc program I EVER used..way back in windows 3.11...man that was a long time ago.)

I cannot draw worth a shit on paper, but using the mouse I'm pretty decent.
I'm actually better with a mouse than a tablet..go figure.

The concept art looks great. It's kind of anime-ish.

From seeing the concept art, I think you could draw the actual sprites yourself, though it might be the case that you're doing the programming or something and don't want to have to do 2 jobs.

I like anime. I'm no artist. I am mainly a programmer.
My programmer art is somewhat better than most though. ;)
I suck at animating the sprites.
While I could possibly draw the front facing sprites, when I go to draw the others, they come out like crap.

This project will have 8 directions of movement on the map, and about 6 unique animations in battle, so I definitely need a sprite artist's help.

Don't we all love programmer's art? I've always liked games that used original art for thei characters.

But ya, 8 directions... that's double the work for a normal 4 directional sprite. I would help out but I guess I got my own stuff to work on.
