I really like my job. They actually pay me to make 3D games about pirates. Our current project, Science Pirates: The Curse of BrownBeard, is an educational game that teaches kids about the science process and food safety, with a fun piratical theme. By the time we're done, we'll have lots of swashbuckling action, seafaring adventure, and rousing sea shanties. And monkeys. Pirates always have monkeys around.

We reached first playable on one of several games within the project recently, the Super Tiki Monkey Temple. Basically, it's a ruined temple on a pirate island where one of the pieces of a treasure map has been hidden, and the player has to search the temple for it. Pedagogically, the game is about observation and hypothesis.

I'm not a big fan of science nor pirates, but I respect what you do. Sounds fun. :)
