Our team recently launched a new site along with a new set of screenshots for Hero of Allacrost, a 2D role-playing game. So I wanted to post here and share the goods. :)
Screenshots
The game's main menu
Map exploration
Map dialogue
Battle interface
Character management
Map artwork
Tilesets
Sprite Sheets
Face Portraits
Battle artwork
Original sprite designs
More sprites
Character portaits
Scene Artwork
Still Portrait Scenes
Location Graphics
We hope you like what you see. :) We're also looking for programmers and artists right now to help us along and release the first playable demo of the game. We're very close to having it ready, but we need the extra help to polish it up and get it to the state where we feel it is suitable for public consumption. If you're interested in helping out, please fill out this application form and tell us a little bit about yourself. If you have any questions about our project, please post them here. Thanks! _________________

Finally an indie traditional RPG that looks decent enough to play for more than fifteen minutes. :D Hope to see a demo of it soon to know for sure. _________________ If you play a Microsoft CD backwards you can hear demonic voices. We were hoping to release a demo simulatenously with these screenshots and our new website design, but a few of our key people had to step down because they got too busy. :( The only major issue that we need to address right now is our video engine, so we're looking for an OpenGL programmer to help us get that part of our engine release-ready.
Thanks for the kind words. ^_^ _________________

Artwork and in game screens looks freaking awesome! That is quite amazing I'd say. Hopefully you'll find that programmer and release a demo soon!

I'm at a loss for words.................highly impressive would be an understatement.
It is good to see the indie scene taking a more professional approach.
I look forward to playing your game.

Cool! I just tried this out! The game intro and menus are very well done. Few problems I found though, were that some of the animation was missing (i.e. when you attack an enemy) and random encouters too much. It is also very hard to chase an NPC down to talk to. Other than that, looks really good!

The animations are missing because we don't have enough artists on our team. Hence, one of our primary motivations behind this demo was to use it to help us attract new artists to our team.

Ahh, I see. I figured it was something like that. Hopefully you'll find a good artist to continue this project!
