There was a time when this place was my homepage. While I don't post very regularly, I've been here from the beginning - and there's no denying that this used to be a great site. You only have to look at some of the early contest entries, or some of the early threads. I think this site is fantastic, and it has fantastic potential.
Bjorn is a great mod, but it's clear he doesn't have the time anymore to keep this place in order. However, I suspect that there are still a lot of people lurking here who like this site that do have that kinda time.
So I propose that any of the following level-headed people who want to be made Mods should be made Mods, effective as of the next time Bjorn checks the site. If this site is ever again going to be a place worth visiting, it needs people to keep it maintained.

Em, I think that's all I have to say.

Bjorn made me a moderator already and I've been cleaning house since then. I'm not able to be here all the time but when I am here, I will do my best to keep this place clean. I only wish this forum used SMF, so that way a special group of global moderators could be created that could also ban spammers permanently. I don't remember if phpBB has that ability or not (I don't think it does). _________________ If you play a Microsoft CD backwards you can hear demonic voices. It supports moderator groups I think, but only admins can ban users.
nodtveidt, thanks a lot for standing up for the community. I do not have time to visit this board very regularly, but if I'm online a PM usually gets me here relatively fast.

I'm going to suggust an idea which may help out with this problem that I have already mentioned on rpg-dev.net. I'm just going to repeat it here.
From what I've known from these guys over at rpg-dev.net.. they post from school. So here's the idea.
1. Find porn site. Ones that make lots of noises and ones that opens up a kajillion of windows that refuses to close.
2. Modify forum software so that when certain users log in, they get redirected to that site mentioned in 1. If you do not have the capability to modfy the forum software, you can achive something similar with a .htaccess file.
3. School admin takes care of them for us.

Well, it seems like Nek is pretty proficient with that so-called ban hammer of his. :p I'd say he's all we need unless these guys start popping up again and again-- Let's hope this doesn't become a giant game of forum whack-a-mole.

I'm more a lurker than a poster, so I can't help but wonder why my name is in the list.
@Maestro134: Ignore it and the problem tends to solve itself.

Man, you were not there on RPG-Dev, were you? You do not understand how freaking ANNOYING these little heinous ************** can be. Especially my little brother Abob/Zatark, but he doesn't appear to be the one doing this particular spam run. _________________ "Sometimes it is better to light a flamethrower than to curse the darkness."

Yeah. If he was your little brother you would do the same thing, admit it. Especially if he GOT YOU BANNED FROM THE SITE FOR A WHOLE FREAKING YEAR.
And I know that you hang out with Noname (Reo 15x to the guys on RPG-dev) Abob Aquabuddy and the rest. I'm not totally clueless. And I'm Maestro134 here because of a login error (don't ask), but yes I am Unbeliever. And I know that you are Softball_Girl/Brittany45_n_42, whatever your other names were/are, this is all old news. So LEAVE ALREADY. _________________ "Sometimes it is better to light a flamethrower than to curse the darkness."

Yes, mods are doing a good job. I come back from work everyday and all the spam disappears.
But I've got a better idea. Send a hitman HERE. (Suspected location of our spammers)

That's supposed to be Scribner Middle School right? Cause if it's NAHS that's me, not them. _________________ "Sometimes it is better to light a flamethrower than to curse the darkness."
