We still have nearly two weeks to go before any of us need submit to Lilith's enticement, and there are some excellent looking games in the making. However, it appears we're having the same problem we always have. Let's not make a big deal of this. We don't appear to have enough time left to realise our collective ideas, so we should give ourselves more. And we should agree to do it now before last minute "I'll never finish this!" panic sets in and interferes with our day to day lives.

Since February is a short month, I propose moving the final submission date back to March the 11th, which will give us until the second weekend in March to complete our games. Just a bit over an extra week, basically.

I for one could use the extra time. I have been unable to work on my project for the past week do to a work "project" deadline. A month is never enough time for any real development project, so the more time the better the output will be.

I think that we all could benefit from an extension. I cast my vote.
*yes* :D

I think I can finish in time however an extension doesn't hurt. Also I would like to see a more polished version of other people's work.

How preposterous! Asking for an extension just over halfway there? I know the veterans here are well aware that compo extensions are the tradition at RPGDX, but come on guys, first try to finish within the given time limit. We all know that when we extend the competition too early, we'll just end up making more plans and be stuck with not enough time again. Also, I know we've extended a weekend compo to a week compo before, but isn't 11 days extra a bit much?

I know that since I'm a busy man, I'm leaving much up to the community, but wait on the official word on this one. ;-)

Now get back to work!

I still aim to finish by the 1st. I agree that an extension would be nice, but I do not plan on it. ....sleep awhile, then back to work ;) hehe

I don't think that's true at all - but I guess there's no harm in keeping the old time limit until at least it expires. We can discuss 11 day and greater extensions once we really need them, I guess :)

No harm in a little extension as long as there are games to play!

I hope most of you got the slight sarcasm in my previous post. Well maybe it just wasn't funny. In any case I meant to get back about this earlier, but I fell sick two days ago and probably will be over the weekend. It's mainly just a fever, but a decent one and I'm getting bored out of my skull in bed.

So now the meat of the message, and this has nothing to do with me being sick, let's extend the competition until March the 11th. We've got 8 votes for and 2 against, so this seems to be the best thing to do.

It's unfortunate to hear some people already had to drop out. Let's not let them down, and at least make them something to play instead.

Hope you feel better man. I had nasal trouble, slight fever, upset stomach, sore throat and coughing. I'm happy to say that I'm finally over that crap thanks to some nice remedies at earthclinic.com.

I'm glad to hear the contest is being extended. It gives us more time to add the finishing touches, and ensure the game is playable.

I really look forward to playing everyone's entry. :)

Good to hear that the competition has been extended. Our project needed that.

I have also have had some a slight fever the last one and a half week. Might be no wonder that you get sick if you work in a room that is 8 degree's warm -_-.

I'm glad to hear there will be an extension. This will give me more time to reach a playable state with my game.

Hey Bjorn? Maybe you should post something to the front page about the contest extension? Not all the participants seem to visit the forums.

You're entirely right. Well I've added a small update notice to the news post now.

I hate to be the one to bring this up again... Well, whatever.

Would anyone care for another extension? Say another week?
