Just recently I busted out the old Genesis again to play some Phantasy Star IV, one of my favorite 16-bit RPGs. My brother was watching me play, and after remarking how awesome the battle theme was (which was cool, I've been trying to convince him that it's a great game and that he should play it for awhile now :p) I decided to cover it.
Anyway, enough backstory, here's the link:

I spent all day recording this one-- Most of it's played, but a few parts are pieced together from different takes because I'm nowhere near as good a guitarist as I sound in my songs. ;)
Intro and ending courtesy of recording an emulator through my headphones.

Hah, awesome as always! I'm not all that familiar with Phantasy Star IV, but I like this. Especially the grinding rhythm all the way through - the song was really crying out for that :)

Yeah, I was referred to DoD just recently when I posted this on another forum, actually... I just noticed this month is a free month! Might be time to bust out my cover of the Star Ocean battle theme I've been meaning to do for awhile... ;)

Damnit, I must not have been thinking... Jeez, I hope no one from the site finds this thread, haha!
Anyway, I will be participating, that's all I'll say. I think I did a pretty good job, I can't wait until the contest's over so I can post it around. :p
