Not specifically RPG-related. But might be of interest. There be indie game makers in Utah!

Utah Indie Game Dev Night, Fall 2007

I really, really wish that Mike could find an animator / modeler to help him finish up Vespers 3D. I think that game could really rock, and I'm excited to see how an old-school text adventure (AHEM - "Interactive Fiction") makes the full transition to a 3D first-person game.

Both Vesper and Mythic Blades looks really tasty.

Here is some pics I found on MB if anyone's interested http://www.gamespot.com/pc/action/mythicblades/images.html?om_act=convert&om_clk=gsimage&tag=images;img;1

I'll be posting a couple of shots (exclusive?) for Mythic Blades 2 in a couple of days, too.

It's a pretty decent game, and the revised version looks better than ever.

And I can't wait for Vespers 3D. I've been excited about that one for a long time. (I did an interview with Mike about a year or so back, which is linked to by the article if you are interested). The game looks brilliant, and (at first blush) seems a perfect "indie" game. It's got a very small, tight, focused environment. Not a lot of content requirements... but the ones he does have are pretty challenging as it is.

Hey, I know that game! A friend showed it to me (what seems like ) ages ago. It was on some sort of compilation CD, maybe from a magazine or something... Man, that was a long time ago. Seems like it, anyway.

They've remade the original, created two sequels, and are working on a "Deadly Rooms of Death RPG" now. Pretty cool stuff.

Still won't give Oblivion a run for its money or anything like that, but its a fun series.
