Is it just me or does it seem like Bjorn has abandoned this site?
He doesn't answer his emails, he's never online...anyone have a clue how to get in touch with him? _________________ Principal Software Architect

I caught him in IRC about a month ago and he said that he didn't get some emails that I'd sent. Turned out his email address (which is supposed to redirect stuff to his gmail account) wasn't working properly. I don't know if he's fixed that. _________________ http://www.distractionware.com

Arg! I even emailed him at his gmail account directly and still no reply!
I wonder if I should go ahead and create a new contest system and host it on my server for us to use. ..what do you think? _________________ Principal Software Architect

Sorry guys, I'm on Eastern holiday. Further more, I haven't had internet at home for almost 5 months now, which really doesn't help with finding time for stuff. That it's still rather complicated to set up a voting doesn't help much (since the 1st, 2nd and 3rd places you can choose are really categories which can each have different ratings, titles and images, and are all configured by database entries, which is at the moment only possible using phpMyAdmin...).
So yeah, I guess go with the forum vote, and I'll see if I can hack in the awards to the project pages later. :-/
About answering emails, I guess I have the sometimes bad habit of replying only when I've done stuff, which I guess makes me seem dead while I'm really just busy. Email is usually the best way to contact me (don't expect me to check any forums regularly), and I'm currently not aware of any problems with receiving email.

Ahhhh. Next time just drop a reply stating that you are unable to get to it yet, so at least I know you're still around, just busy lol.
Bjorn, if you gave me higher permissions, I would be more than happy to be a secondary administrator; just for handling the contests when you aren't around. Or if that is not an option, then just give me the mysql table info that I'd need to write a better system for handling setting up contests & voting.
This was meant to be a PM but something happened, and it did not send the PM three times it crashed. I don't know why. _________________ Principal Software Architect

Handing over responsibility for the website to somebody else is unfortunately a big problem.
I think what I will do is to make the source code repository public again (it went down back when my home-run server retired), and write a small how-to about setting up a testing installation. Then people could be encouraged to hack around and I will accept patches and put stuff online after review.
