ok, the idea:
an indie rpg diskmag.
The basic concept is that it will be more of a community mag, released bi-monthly, done in a diskmag format. A disk mag format is basicly using a program that reads each ish and displays it. Hugi-> http://www.virtually.at/hugi/ , is a good example of the style fo diskmag reader i want to push out.
now a lot of people think with RPGDX, this sort of thing is pointless. But I don't think so....a lot of the reveiws are nice, but nto in-depth. We rarely get articles anymore. Main reason why? I think it has to do with lack of pressure.
With a diskmag, there is a deadline. There is pressure. And, if hosted on RPGDX (which it will be), i think it can expand it greatly, and enhance the feeling of comunity behind it. _________________ "Well, last time I flicked on a lighter, I'm pretty sure I didn't create a black hole."-

yeah, but diskmags look cool :)
and as much as i could've there is just something nice about an offline diskmag, something oldskool and warm and pretty.
Besides, it will give me a chance to test out the GiaEdit visual editor controls (uses a windows like mouse based interface....scrollbars, textboxes, etc), see how well they work when i push em.
so pthbth.

... it should be out soon, but me and Happy have been saying that for about 2 months now. We have a few articles, a few unfinished, and I'm working on the template.
After the last issue, we got LOADS of emails and comments (about 50), and about 5000 hits. So we're going for really high quality control with this issue.
That and I'm moving house, Happy is busy, most of our writers disappeared etc etc.
If you want to write anything, you're more than welcome. That goes for anyone who reads this.

Well, you got my comments in e-mail... but basically, I'd rather see it in HTML... Jon does have a point... but, I would probably enjoy it, regardless of the format. _________________ "Goth is a way for ugly people to be interesting."

Im all for it, but maybe make it modular so it can be in html and a diskmag, just by clicking 'convert' or something fancy or stupid ;). But im not sure this might be hard... i dont care if its done or not. _________________ -Mr Moose-

hrm, mayhaps. actually i wrote this -> http://indierpg.net/article1.html almost specifically for GDMag, but I'm so loopy lately i forgot to send it to you, and just went mad trying to remember why i wrote it.
but oh yeah, that's why.
if i do end up doing a doc reader type thing, it will rpolly be in Python using PyGame.
but I'm not sure. Another poll? This one seems about done, and the majority seems in favor of a mag fo some sort.
