Oh hey I just looked outside the compo thread and there's a board for this.
Because I cheated at Klik of the Month Klub, I decided to do my entry in Klik & Play.
Screenshot!
Download (Windows, <1mb)!
Feedback welcome, I'm still tracking down all the horrible bugs.

Klik & Play!? You're mad! :-) Well, at least I bought that thing back when I was running Windows 95, but never had much success creating games with it. I still preferred QuickBasic 4.5. :P
Hmm, I tried running it in Wine but it fails with a message about not having enough memory, and in the console it shows:
err:dc:CreateDCW no driver found for L"DIB"
:-(

I've just updated the game slightly, adding a second form to the final boss.

The sheer size of this game is impressive for something created in 48 hours. My biggest complaint is that repeatedly climbing to the tower of the tower only to be killed by the final boss gets really annoying.

I haven't been able to finish the game. The furthest I have been able to go yet is to the angellike creatures.
I might have found a bug where you get infinite money, dunno how but suddenly I had 999999 gold or something like that. _________________

Are you playing the most recent version? (It'll say 1.1 in the title bar.)
I thought I'd fixed the money bug, and I've made death a little less punishing in the new one.
If you are playing 1.1, any guess as to what triggered all that cash?

No, it happened in the previous version. I'm sorry, I should have mentioned that. _________________

The game absolutely, positively refuses to run, even in compatibility mode. (I'm using Vista x64.) Oh well. :(

Well that's what you get for upgrading from Windows 3.1.

If it's any comfort it runs perfectly in 32bit Vista. _________________
