Eschalon Book II (windows version) was just released this week, and I scored an interview with it's principle creator, Thomas Riegsecker of Basilisk Games. I hope that, after doing it enough times, I will finally be able to spell his last name correctly.
The future is still scary for this guy who has turned making indie RPGs into a full-fledged career, but he's doing some neat things:

I played a bit of Eschalon: Book II last night. I know there's a JRPG preference on these boards, but you really should at least check it out. I was thrilled. It does a really good job of marrying old-school sensibilities with modern gaming sensibilities. It looks significantly better than the original, and the original game rawked. _________________ Tales of the Rampant Coyote - Old-School Game Developer talks Indie Games, RPGs, and the Games Biz
