If I were to write a game engine with php and DHTML, would the community be willing to host it as an add-on to the forum?

How about explaining something about the game and how it interacts with the forum? We've got zero information. _________________ Mark Hall

The engine is made in Javascript and AJAX. It's something along the lines of ZZT, except with graphics.
It's not anything serious, just a fun thing.

(click the "House" link)
Here you can see what I've got so far: a little php script to show a map that I made. If you register and view your own "house", you will be taken to an editor where you can change it. In the future, I aim to add NPC support and dialogue boxes, so as to make the house and its contents interactive.

I've thought about it and it seems like this idea is not exactly in alignment with the direction of the site. It would be a way to grow the site, if that was desired: we could offer a tool where users would register and create their own custom games which could be viewed, downloaded... even interconnected. However that seems nonetheless inconsistent with Mandrake's original vision of this site as a hub for people who like to program their games using just whatever.

I think most of us are making games that are run by executable rather than something in-browser anyways. _________________ Mark Hall
