All GPL'ed ready for you to research how they made their engine work for this 3D RPG, released in 2002.

Anyway, I thought it was pretty cool of 'em to release a patch to a game over 8 years old, and release the source code to the community like that.

I remember playing that game a few years ago. It was fun, although it got really difficult towards the end.

I've still not finished it. I picked it up a little over a year ago from gog.com. Too many games, too little time... but I guess that's kind of a good problem.
