Ten years on, this site remains the source for indie RPGs. I just heard yesterday that Eternity was finished... apparently the author never made a page for the project. The site needs a comeback. For that, it needs more space, for one. It's also rather unintuitive to manage projects... (I have to start at my profile page). I think that turns a lot of people off. I have no clue how people even find this site nowadays. There have been like 200 indie rpgs released in the past eight years, and only like 9 or 10 are featured here. I'm not saying we should host every RPG Maker game ever, but this site really isn't a major resource for RPGs anymore.

I thought of this idea for the site. We have all these games on here, but most people don't even know how to play them. Today DOS games are more popular, and accessible, than ever, thanks to DOSBox Java. There are several people making an illicit living by hosting hundreds of old DOS games on their websites alongside ads. The gamers launch the games on DOSBox with a single click and are exposed to the ads. The webmasters make money.
Well, why isn't this site getting any of that money? Why doesn't this site put up its members games in a Java DOSBox for others to play?

I'm too busy to worry about making money with this site, but I like the idea of enabling the games here to be played in a Java DOSBox. Maybe you'd like to contribute? The code for this site is available at https://github.com/bjorn/rpgdx so feel free to help out.
Just be warned that it's only the second site I coded in PHP many years ago. The only reason that it's still running is probably that it's small enough to go unnoticed by most evildoers.
