I've disabled new user registration because it's too cumbersome to keep fighting the spam and I don't think it's worth it to implement a better solution.
Since phpBB2 actually does not have an option to turn off new user registration, it is currently just set to "admin", and as admin I don't plan to activate any new users. Eventually I may put some message in the registration form that they can e-mail me personally to ask for activation.
The forum stays around for those already registered and as general archive of all discussions that happened over the years. Long live RPGDX!

I'm not particularly fond of the idea but I can hardly complain either. The spam situation was insane. _________________

It's gone out of control across the internet. Not long ago Lufia World's board was shuttered over spam attacks. It's not as if these attacks ever create income... there must be some intent to transform the very nature of the net.
